Questions

The quiz questions are here (PDF).

Solutions to the questions in Quiz 3 are here (PDF).

Standards

The criteria for satisfying the standards are explained in the table below.  Each standard is determined from one or more of the quiz questions.  The second column of the table identifies the questions used to score each standard.  The third column reports the total number of points available in those questions.  The last column gives the points needed to satisfy the standard.

 Standard   Questions   Points   Cutoff
17 1 3 2.7
18 2 4 3.6
19 3 4 3.6
20 4A, 4B 4 3.6
21 4C, 4D 4 3.6
23 5A, 5B, 5C, 5D 4 3.6
24 5E 4 3.6

Standard 21 is missing from the list above because it includes cross products as well as dot products, and cross products had not been taught by quiz time.

Comments

A score for each question was assigned using Gradescope.  Those scores were entered into a spreadsheet to calculate the scores for the standards .  There were opportunities for error at all steps of the scoring process.  If you think a grade or score was assigned improperly or erroneously, please contact Dr. Barrans.  The best way is through UW email; he might not see regrade requests on Gradescope right away.
